An advanced fighter designed by Hawker, the Tempest V was the ultimate piston engined fighter of the Second World War. It was faster and more maneuverable than its predecessor, the Typhoon, and proved to be an excellent choice for ground attack missions and combat operations. Its speed, range, and firepower made it a formidable opponent for the Luftwaffe, and it was particularly effective against the V-1 pulse jet flying bomb threat. Its success in combat cemented its place as one of the most capable fighters of the war.
