About the Porsche 935 Martini
The Porsche 935 Martini was a Group 5 car developed for the World Championship for Makes in 1976. Using the road car 930 Turbo as a base, it featured an extensively modified body and workings: while the silhouette remained intact, over fenders and an enlarged rear wing gave it powerful yet lightweight form. Improved suspension and brakes were also employed. Powered by a 2,857cc horizontally opposed 6-cylinder turbo engine, this car achieved four wins in seven races, and brought Porsche the title.
