The Vertex 10 Wide from Redcat Racing is a 1/10-scale 4WD electric rock crawler built for stable, confident climbing on technical terrain.
Key features include a lightweight 3mm carbon-fiber chassis, 4-link suspension with servo-on-axle geometry, and a 228mm stance with 330mm wheelbase for enhanced stability. The platform runs a Hobbywing 2812 1700KV brushless motor paired with a WP-10BL60 ESC and Hexfly 50kg servo for smooth, responsive control.
The Wide configuration stands out with larger 5.25" tires on 2.2" beadlock wheels, 74mm ground clearance, and tuned suspension (0.17 N/mm front, 0.2 N/mm rear). An aggressive 32% overdrive ratio optimizes climbing power and steering authority on steep obstacles.
Air emulsion-style shocks with aluminum bodies, machined ring and pinion gears, double-CV front shafts, and a 58-degree steering angle complete the package. Built to handle loose rock, off-camber terrain, and steep climbs with predictable handling.
